Warren AFB (Cheyenne, WY)Pay Range$120,000.00 per year – $135,000.00 per year (Base pay; final pay will be based on experience)RequirementsMust be a U.S. Citizen and pass a federal background review and drug screen.ResponsibilitiesServe as technical expert and advisor for control of civil and structural systems and related steel and welding features for federal construction projects.Perform advisory, consulting and review duties involving civil/structural systems problems or non‑compliance.Review contract documents, including plans and specifications, during design for constructability, non‑compliance, issue identification and contract clarity.Participate in all phases of the contract modification process. Assist in preparation of scopes of work for RFPs, governmental estimates, review contractor proposals, and prepare contract modification documentation.Assist with steel and welding inspections, quality assurance, contract administration and providing technical expertise.Document reviews and analyze contractor plans and technical submittals for approval action, including progress schedules, environmental, safety and quality control programs, certifications and shop drawings. Provide comments.Prepare correspondence regarding contractor performance, requests for equitable adjustments (REAs), requests for information (RFIs) and other technical issues.Prepare both partial and final payment estimates, including the measurement and computation of pay item quantities, verification of materials on hand, and percent complete of lump‑sum items.Demonstrated steel and steel connection experience.Experience in weld design and compliance review in reviewing plans, submittals, RFIs and field inspections.Non‑destructive inspection (NDI) experience.AISC certification.Monitor and document scheduled progress of all construction activities and phases, advising the resident engineer, COR and project team of potential slippage or delay.Participate and execute RFI and submittal reviews, including coordination with designers, RE and technical experts and execute responses to the contractor.Review and provide technical assistance with HEMP shielding, radio‑frequency (RF) shielding and ICD‑705 construction requirements.
