Senior Civil Engineer (PE), Transportation, Fort Worth, TXHalff is seeking a Senior Roadway Design Engineer with a Texas PE license to join our Roadway/Transportation team in the Fort Worth, TX office. The ideal candidate has 8‑15 years of experience designing roadway projects for DOTs and/or municipalities, preferably in Texas, and can lead design projects, oversee plan production, and provide guidance to technical staff with a strict commitment to quality. OpenRoads Designer (ORD) experience is required. This role offers a great opportunity for roadway/transportation engineers to advance their careers, manage projects, and contribute to North Texas business development and client advocacy.What You Will DoManage and oversee the design and construction of transportation projects from planning through delivery.Collaborate with project members, multi‑practice teams, sub‑consultants and other stakeholders to communicate deliverables, requirements, schedules, costs and plans.Apply technical expertise by understanding project‑specific standards, criteria, deliverables and best practices.Leverage strong design experience; prefer project‑management experience and knowledge of working with local entities.Assist in developing and managing project scopes, budgets, and schedules.Work closely with the Transportation Team Leader in the development and delivery of roadway/transportation projects.Conduct complex transportation engineering tasks and lead other professional staff in project development.Develop and manage project scope, personnel, budgets, schedules and collaborate with clients and stakeholders.Manage multiple transportation tasks or projects to support business needs.Lead consultant teams and manage the workload of design staff, including Engineers, EITSs and other technical staff, ensuring growth and safety of Texas roadways.Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.Support proposal and RFQ preparation.Review transportation deliverables for accuracy and consistency.Report on project progress and budgets.Collaborate with the Transportation Team Leader and Operations Managers on business‑development activities.Manage quality assurance and control analysis to ensure projects meet or exceed client expectations and Halff requirements, complying with recognized standards and codes of practice.Monitor project budgets, allocate resources, and identify opportunities to optimize efficiency and profitability.What You Will NeedBachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or an ABET‑accredited equivalent.Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas.At least 8 years of roadway project development experience with emphasis on DOT and/or municipal projects, preferably in Texas.MicroStation CAD and OpenRoads experience required.Ability to lead technical staff and manage projects in all aspects including schedules, budgets, client interaction and proposal preparation, with a commitment to quality.Experience managing roadway design projects and plan production.Strong written and verbal communication and decision‑making skills.Commitment to quality, positive attitude, self‑directed teamwork, integrity and success.Primavera (P6) experience desirable.Benefits & CompensationSalary is competitive and commensurate with experience.Medical, dental, prescription and life insuranceLong‑term and short‑term disability insurancePaid time off (PTO) and 8 company paid holidays (and Veterans Day for our veterans)Traditional and Roth 401(k) plansEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Health Savings Account (HSA)529 College Savings PlanFlexible spending accounts (FSA)Employee Assistance PlanAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other legally protected status.#J-18808-Ljbffr
