Assistant Vice President, Civil Engineer – Facilities TeamWSP is seeking a motivated engineer to expand technical expertise, take greater ownership of projects, and contribute to complex, high‑performing facility and infrastructure projects across multiple market sectors.LocationsBoise, IDMadison, WIMinneapolis, MNAbout the RoleOur Facilities group delivers innovative civil engineering solutions for food & beverage, federal, and industrial facilities, with a strong emphasis on quality, collaboration, and forward‑thinking design. In this role you will support site civil design efforts from concept through construction and play a key role in delivering successful projects.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform site civil design including grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater management for facility projectsDevelop design solutions using AutoCAD Civil 3D and terrain modeling tools to support 3D coordination and visualizationCoordinate with multidisciplinary project teams, clients, and contractorsSupport permitting and regulatory agency coordinationAssist with construction administration and respond to field questions as neededTake ownership of assigned tasks and contribute to overall project successApply WSP's quality management processes, including QA/QC reviewsDemonstrate sound engineering judgment while adapting and applying engineering principles, codes, and standardsGrow toward leading projects with guidance, mentoring, and oversight from senior engineersWhat You Can Expect at WSPExposure to diverse, technically challenging projectsAutonomy and trust—WSP values accountability, not micromanagementA strong culture of quality, collaboration, and professional integrityOngoing mentoring, technical training, and career development supportCompensation aligned with experience, including paid time for all hours worked where applicableRequired QualificationsBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering10+ years of relevant civil engineering experienceAbility to perform work requiring independent judgment, adaptation, and modification of engineering principles and proceduresExperience in one or more of the following: Land development; Municipal utility design; Water resources; Environmental engineeringProficiency in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrologic analysis, grading, and site development designStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing project needsEffective written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to self‑manage tasks and deliver resultsInterest in developing client relationships and understanding client needsPreferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferredFinancial incentive may apply for California PE licensureExperience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation InRoadsFamiliarity with stormwater modeling tools such as HydroCAD, HEC‑RAS, HydraFlow, or Autodesk Storm & Sanitary AnalysisBIM coordination knowledgeFoundation design experiencePrevious consulting engineering experienceWSP BenefitsWSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on providing health and financial stability throughout the employee's career.
