As a Sr. Civil Engineer at HEI you will help define the character of cities and neighborhoods with your work on a variety of private and public urban projects.

Summary

·       Plan and design civil engineering projects for both private and public entities.

·       Prepare engineering documents, including design reports, cost estimates, project schedules, etc. in accordance with the latest governing codes.

·       Effectively manage budgets, schedules, and timely completion of projects.

·       Participate in pre-project presentations, interviews, client meetings, and preconstruction meetings.

·       Prepare funding applications and preliminary engineer reports.

·       Oversee work-in-progress and monitor outstanding accounts receivable.

·       Lead personnel assigned to projects.


Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)

·       Professional Engineer license in NE or ability to obtain within six months

·       Eight plus years experience preferred, with recent experience in NE

·       Knowledge of engineering principles and practices

·       Experience with project management and budgeting

·       Capability of supervising, mentoring, and evaluating staff

·       Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team atmosphere.

·       Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects and clients

·       Good driving record and valid driver’s license

·       Visa sponsorship is not available for this position; authorization to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future required.
