    Description Davis & Floyd is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Site Design Team in our Columbia, SC office. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment and is motivated to guide and mentor a group of skilled professionals.As a privately held firm, Davis & Floyd is committed to a culture rooted in integrity, excellence, and quality—values that guide everything we do.Responsibilities Lead the development of project manuals and oversee the bidding process through awardManage all aspects of site design, including grading, drainage, stormwater management, water and sewer systems, pump stations/force mains, erosion control, SWPPP, and technical reportingPrepare construction cost estimates and support project bidding and construction administrationProvide technical guidance, problem-solving, and mentorship to engineers and technical staffReview and prepare site designs, drawings, and technical/front-end specificationsPlan, coordinate, and manage daily project activities, schedules, budgets, and scopeConduct pre-construction meetings and oversee submittals, pay requests, change orders, and construction-phase activitiesDirect field efforts including surveys, testing, and construction engineering supportServe as a primary client contact, managing communication and expectationsEnsure quality control and compliance with company standards and project requirementsSupport business development through client meetings, presentations, and public engagementLead and facilitate meetings with clients, stakeholders, and internal teamsEffectively resolve complex or sensitive issues both internally and externallyMentor and develop team membersRequirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) is requiredMinimum of 10 years design experience in site development, grading, drainage, stormwater management, and permittingFamiliarity with federal, state, and local agency regulationsExperience managing a wide variety of site development projects, and working with clientsAbility to manage and communicate effectively with staff and clientsExperience in Autodesk Civil 3D, SEDCAD, and PCSWMM#J-18808-Ljbffr
