Impact Recruitment is currently seeking a Senior CAD Technician to join our client's team in their Phoenix location.  

General Summary:  Assist in the preparation of project deliverables and contract documents in accordance with the company design standards and client requirements.

 Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Use Civil 3D to convert all applicable information into electronically generated drawings and project documents with accuracy.
  2. Perform horizontal computations for boundary surveys and analyses of field location and record information to determine property lines.
  3. Prepare final as-built plans from survey crew field notes and field measurements of project improvements.
  4. Compute horizontal and vertical positions of proposed improvements such as buildings, streets, curbs, etc. from approved plans for construction staking.
  5. Research land records, horizontal and control data.
  6. Work with other in-house disciplines for project coordination.
  7. Experience to include a thorough knowledge of residential and commercial construction staking procedures and calculations and as-built requirements in Arizona is a must.
  8. Experience and a thorough knowledge of ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, topographic surveys, boundary surveys is a plus.
  9. Candidates must have the ability to perform a variety of complex computations for traverse, record plats, boundary surveys, construction staking, horizontal/vertical control, etc.

Knowledge of Land Survey Techniques, Principles and Standards. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as basic algebra and geometry to perform calculations. 

Education or Formal Training:
  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. CST III or LSIT preferred
  3. Minimum of 5 years survey and/or CAD experience in the land surveying and construction staking.
  4. Must be proficient with Civil 3D.
