Our client, a decades-old manufacturer in the aerospace industry, is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to manage the procurement of materials, supplies, and services to support operational goals out of their Pennsauken, NJ office.
This IN-OFFICE role is responsible for vendor management, contract negotiation, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing strategies while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts with suppliers
Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable sources of supply
Manage procurement processes, including bid evaluation and supplier selection
Maintain strong vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance
Support production and operational needs through effective purchasing strategies
Ensure accuracy and integrity of purchasing data and documentation
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, accounting, and quality teams
Resolve procurement issues and ensure timely order fulfillment
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
4–7 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of purchasing principles, supplier negotiations, and supply chain processes
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications is a plus
