Senior Buyer | Manufacturing Procurement | Monroe & Jacksonville, MI

Are you a strategic procurement professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Join Gerdau, a global leader in steel manufacturing, and play a critical role in keeping our operations running safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

As a Senior Buyer, youll lead sourcing for MRO and Services, supplier negotiations, drive cost savings initiatives, and partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Leadership teams to ensure continuity of supply.

What Youll Do:

  • Lead sourcing, negotiations, and contract management for key commodities and services
  • Build and manage strategic supplier relationships
  • Drive cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure uninterrupted supply to support production goals
  • Analyze spend, market trends, and supplier performance
  • Mentor procurement team members and lead cross-functional projects

What Were Looking For:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics
  • CPSM, CPM, CSCP, or similar certifications preferred
  • 7-10 years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience in manufacturing, steel, metals, automotive, or heavy industry
  • Proven success negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
