Summary / Role Purpose The Ansys Federal, Aerospace, and Defense (FA&D) team supports national security and readiness by accelerating the digital transformation towards simulation, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and mission engineering. We are looking for a passionate Business Development Executivecommitted to driving simulation and innovation across the aerospace and defense community. The ideal candidate is a triple threat, combining market area experience withtechnical and business acumen and brings high energy to apply innovative solutions to complex problems and support critically important missions. This position is open to any work location within the US. Key Duties and Responsibilities Identify, qualify, and assist in the capture of high-value opportunities in the national security market. Contribute to the prioritization of new business pursuits, provide guidance andsupport to growing/accelerating the sales pipeline anddriving marketing and product alignment activities. Manage and retain strategic relationships with key stakeholders and thought leaders in the market. Assist customers in meeting their requirements and filling capability gaps with products and technologies available or being developed by Ansys. Serve asasenior selling mentor and market area expert in support of overall FA&D objectives. Coordinate cross-functional teams including sales, engineering, marketing, and partners to deliver the excellent customer experience of Ansys. Coordinate with engineering and sales personnel in preparing, editing and presenting briefings, as well as facilitating discussions with customers and partners. Research business opportunities and identify viable income streamsfor white space expansion. Followand report onindustry trends. Represent Ansys at tradeshows,industrydays,conferences, andindustry association events. Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience Education & experience:Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Scienceor other related fieldwith a minimum of 4+ years of experience insales, business developmentor related fieldOR 8+ years of experience insales, business developmentor related field. Team player with demonstrated capabilities and skills for building trust, accountability and collaboration among internal and external stakeholders Ability to gain a U.S. security clearance and operate within AGI and Ansys data security requirements Ability to develop, implement, and manage strategies for new business capture that results in increased pipeline and win rates. High emotional intelligence and a track record of building and maintaining strong relationships, from senior level executives to technical users. Knowledge of government contracting methodologies, current acquisition trends and customer funding cycles. Excellent written and oral communication skills and experience presenting to senior executives and customers. Ability to plan, navigate, and negotiate asophisticated selling process. Willingness to assign team success as a first priority. Travel: Average of 50% Preferred Qualifications and Skills Advanced Degree in business or technical discipline. 15 years of relevant business development and/or customer mission experience. Cross team & people management skills. Experience leading opportunity captures, including developing overall win strategy; shaping deals with customer ; developing teaming strategies, identifying, and closing with teammates; understanding pricing and assist in developing winning price Experience in the aerospace and defense market.
