Description

  • Prepare, review, and process client invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure compliance with firm billing policies and client-specific guidelines.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and internal teams to review prebills and resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update billing records within the firm's accounting systems.
  • Support eBilling submissions through various electronic platforms, ensuring successful transmission and compliance.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including reporting and reconciliations.
  • Generate and analyze billing and A/R reports to support financial operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve billing processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and internal stakeholders regarding billing inquiries.

Profile

A successful Senior Billing Specialist should have:

  • 3+ years of legal billing experience, preferably within a mid to large law firm environment.
  • Strong understanding of billing systems such as Elite 3E, Aderant, or similar, and eBilling platforms.
  • Experience with full-cycle billing, including prebills, edits, and invoice processing.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities when working with attorneys and clients.
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and improve processes.
