The hiring range for these opportunities are:
- $27.00 to $31.00 per hour for the Senior Banker
- $31.00 to $41.00 per hour for the Senior Business Banker
Both opportunities include incentive opportunities, creating a competitive total compensation package based on our pay scale, and may be modified by location and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
POSITION SUMMARY - Senior Banker
As a Senior Banker you bring to life Tri Counties Bank's vision of a community-focused financial institution. You maintain and deepen banking relationships with our existing customers and establish new consumer and business accounts anchored in purpose, value, and trust. Your interpersonal skills - active listening, insightful questioning, building rapport - enable you to understand customers' current financial state and anticipate their future needs. You are known by customers, co-workers, and the local community at large as an expert in financial services and an effective advocate for their financial well-being.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES - Senior Banker
- Begin with a personal welcome to everyone who calls or comes into a branch. Show the customer they are valued.
- Use every customer interaction as an opportunity to have quality conversations and individually understand the financial needs and goals of our customers.
- Share your knowledge about Tri Counties Bank services, products, and partners to help your customers' save money, make more money or make their banking more convenient.
- Employ appropriate solutions for your customers. Follow through and honor commitments to ensure their financial needs and goals are fulfilled.
- Be a leader by living the One Team concept which includes personal joint calling efforts by collaborating with business partners to acquire, expand, and retain customer relationships.
- Coach and develop branch team members on product knowledge, relationship building, partner collaboration, and skill development.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED - Senior Banker
- High school diploma or GED required, unless age 18.
- Previous sales and cash handling experience, preferred.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Above average working knowledge of Bank products and consumer lending.
- Previous experience with bank sales as a Personal Banker
- Ability to lead and direct others.
- Ability to utilize personal computers and Windows based programs.
- Able to successfully complete Bank product and sales training courses and appropriate certifications.
- Able to be registered as a mortgage loan originator (MLO) in the Nationwide Mortgage License System and Registry (NMLS).

Your business acumen and interpersonal skills - active listening, insightful questioning, building rapport - enable you to drive productive dialog with current and potential business banking customers about their operations and the lending, treasury, and merchant services benefits we offer. Your visibility in the community elevates awareness of the Bank and builds our network of current and future customers.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES - Senior Business Banker
- Reach out and engage the local business community and proactively develop business and community relationships. Represent the bank at civic/government, industry and community functions.
- Proactively engage in quality conversations with new and existing customers to discover their business and personal goals in order to individually understand their current and future needs.
- Share knowledge of ways that small business customers can save money, make more money or make their banking more convenient by utilizing Tri Counties Bank services and products.
- Employ appropriate solutions for small business customers and their employees. Follow through and honor commitments to ensure their financial needs and goals are fulfilled.
- Prepare a calling plan for each new business prospect in conjunction with the strategic business development program.
- Partner with Branch Manager to develop and implement promotional sales campaigns, cross-sell plans and tele-consulting activities.
- Be a leader by living the One Team concept which includes personal joint calling efforts by collaborating with business partners to acquire, expand, and retain business customer relationships.
- Coach and develop branch team members on product knowledge, relationship building, partner collaboration, and skill development.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED - Senior Business Banker
- High school diploma or GED required, unless age 18.
- Demonstrated sales and marketing experience with a track record of exceptional customer service and proven high performance.
- Business to business sales or financial services sales experience.
- Business financial analysis experience preferred
- Exceptional organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to be registered as a mortgage loan originator (MLO) in the Nationwide Mortgage License System and Registry (NMLS).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
