Required
3+ years of industrial automation / programming experience, OR a 2-year technical degree plus 2+ years of industrial field experience
Comfort working with a variety of voltage (12V–480V)
Strong attention to detail and good documentation habits
Able to work independently and as part of a crew

PCCU and ABB Totalflow
AMS Trex Communicator, Rosemount Radar Master, process meters
HART and RS-485 protocols
VFDs: PowerFlex, Toshiba, Siemens, GE, ABB
Rockwell Automation PLC/HMI programming
Nice to have
North Dakota Electrical Journeyman License (or reciprocal from MT, SD, WY, MN, etc.)
PCCU7 and ROCLINK 800 proficiency
SCADA/radio networking (900 MHz, 2.4–5 GHz Wi-Fi)
TCP/IP and WAN communications
Prior oilfield experience
A typical week
Commission new pads — PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, radio communications
Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation: transmitters, analyzers, control valves, switches, relays
Calibrate and document automation equipment
Run daily corrective work orders on existing facilities
Upgrade electrical components and automation programs on older locations
Verify all safety systems are functional before leaving location
