Reporting to the Campus Director of Admission at Rose Hill, the Senior Assistant Director of Admission will recruit and enroll diverse and talented full-time first-year students, managing a recruitment territory and executing both in-person and virtual recruitment.
The Senior Assistant Director reviews admission applications for undergraduate candidates and is responsible for managing projects, processes, or a group of people (such as students or volunteers) as part of in-office responsibilities. This role will be responsible for the support of campus events as a member of our campus events team.
This position requires frequent travel and evening and weekend hours.
Essential Functions
Manages a recruitment territory as measured by both qualitative and quantitative indicators such as relationship building, creativity with travel/recruitment strategies, independence, volume, enrollment trends, employment of fiscal and time management efficiencies. This includes in person recruitment/yield work of usually 6-8 weeks/year and virtual recruitment year round.
Exhibits successful management skills and executes complex projects and processes. Including the management and execution of events and/or student leadership coordination (ie student workers, volunteers).
Develops a nuanced knowledge of University mission, identity, academic programs and admission-related messaging. Demonstrates the ability to create one's own expression of the Fordham story that effectively communicates information about the University and the admission process that is personal yet consistent with office guidelines.
Utilizes communication skills in individual settings and group presentations (5-100+ people).
Represents the Office of Admission at college panels and other off-campus events hosted by the high school counseling community.
Develops collaborative relationships with team members, other members of the University community, students and families, and members of the college counseling community, including participation in conferences, institutes and workshops.
Executes responsibilities related to the review and processing of admission applications including meeting reading benchmarks, adhering to holistic reading standards, and delivering positive and proactive customer service to families and students at all stages in the process.

Required Qualifications: Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree.
Minimum of 3 years experience in Undergraduate Admission.
Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills
Demonstrated strength in interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills in both individual interactions and large group presentations.
Adept at public speaking.
Adept at managing and coordinating the efforts of others.
Intermediate-level knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Proven quantitative and analytical acumen, particularly in compressed time frames with a high volume of application activity.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree.
Experience in admission, admission events or student supervision.
Familiarity with Technolutions SLATE or Admission CRM.
