The Opportunity
The firm is seeking a Senior Architect / Project Manager to join their growing team in a leadership role. This position works closely with the Principal and Associate-in-Charge to guide projects through technical documentation and construction while mentoring junior team members.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats throughout the project lifecycle, with a particular strength in construction administration and technical coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and perform quality control reviews of construction documentation
Guide projects through construction administration, coordinating closely with clients, consultants, and contractors
Collaborate with internal teams on multiple projects across a variety of design profiles
Mentor and support junior staff during the Construction Documentation (CD) and Construction Administration (CA) phases
Help ensure design intent, technical excellence, and project goals are maintained throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications
Professional degree in Architecture; licensure required
10+ years of experience in architectural practice with exposure to all project phases
Strong communication and collaboration skills with design teams, clients, consultants, and contractors
Experience with technical detailing, accessibility requirements, and sustainable design strategies
Demonstrated leadership during construction administration and coordination with project stakeholders
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
Multi-family housing experience
Renovation and rehabilitation project experience
Familiarity with NYC Zoning and Building Code
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture
Compensation
$130,000 – $150,000 salary range
