The Senior Application Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert supporting enterprise patient communications across appointment based and longitudinal care workflows. This consultant will provide senior level Epic application expertise focused on Epic MyChart, Care Companion/Care Journeys, leading solution design decisions and ensuring scalable, maintainable, workflow driven patient engagement solutions aligned with the organization's technology strategy.
Key Responsibilities

Install new application components and configure Epic patient communication functionality across MyChart, Care Companion, Care Journeys, and Hello World SMS.

Upgrade and optimize existing patient communication workflows and validate configurations performed by Application Analysts.

Define and support go live and rollout schedules for new patient communication capabilities and care journey expansions.

Provide advanced application support for new modules, enhancements, and Epic patient engagement functionality.
- Lead analysis of required application modifications and coordinate technical changes with appropriate internal IT associates or Epic vendors.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and independently resolve high severity or complex production issues.
- Interpret business and end user requirements to determine optimal technical solutions and identify potential risks, constraints, or downstream impacts.

Serve as a subject matter expert for Epic patient communications design and strategy, ensuring solutions in Care Companion and/or Care Journeys are scalable, extensible, and easy to maintain over time.

Advise on the best technical solution within the existing enterprise Epic stack to meet patient communication needs while adhering to architectural standards and best practices.

Evaluate clinical and operational workflows to ensure patient communications are event driven, clinically aligned, and compliant with software best practices and organizational governance.

Create and execute test plans for new communication builds, journey enhancements, and system modifications;document testing outcomes and validation results.

Proactively monitor application behavior and recommend improvements to increase patient engagement, message effectiveness, and system reliability.

Maintain and contribute to patient communication workflow documentation, standards, and training materials as needed.
- Work within an Agile delivery model, participating in Scrum ceremonies and executing work through Jira managed two week sprints.
- Provide guidance, oversight, and knowledge sharing to Application Analysts and other team members as necessary.

Required Skills and Experience
- Senior level experience configuring Epic MyChart.

Hands on experience designing and supporting workflow and event based patient communications.

Strong understanding of Epic patient engagement architecture, including appointment driven and journey based communication triggers.
- Demonstrated ability to lead solution design and make architectural recommendations within complex clinical scheduling environments.
- Ability to independently support complex builds, system changes, and production issues.

Preferred Qualifications
· Experience configuring MyChart Care Companion conditions, including task sequencing, questionnaires, reminders, and patient education.
· Experience configuring and supporting Epic Care Journeys.
· Experience configuring or supporting Hello World SMS for patient messaging.
· Experience supporting enterprise scale patient communications or engagement initiatives.
· Experience unifying appointment based and longitudinal care communications.
· Familiarity with scalable communication frameworks and reusable Epic build patterns.
