    Position SummaryThe Senior Accounts Payable Payment Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payments for goods and services. This role is critical in ensuring that sensitive financial information is transmitted securely and high-volume payments are processed accurately. Payment processing formats will include check, ACH, wire, and payment portals as well as internal account transfers. This position is located at the Irving, TX headquarters of Caris Life Sciences, directly reporting to the Senior Manager-Accounts Payable, and will work closely with the Finance, Accounting, and Treasury teams to produce accurate and timely transactional processing related to purchasing and financial operations. The successful candidate will utilize strong business understanding, accounts payable payment expertise, solid communication skills, and keen attention to detail to become an effective team member at every level of the organization, understanding business objectives and providing insightful accurate reporting in support of those objectives.Job Responsibilities

    • Process weekly payments, utilizing check, ACH, and wire formats

    • Manage purchasing and credit card payments in ERP system and payment portals

    • Handle employee reimbursement batches and payments

    • Generate weekly payables aging and payment reports

    • Void and reissue payments as needed

    • Prepare wire packets with appropriate documentation and approvals

    • Process wire payables and payments in ERP system

    • Distribute and mail paper checks with required documentation

    • Research stale-dated checks and prepare escheatment records

    • Verify supplier banking information to support fraud prevention

    • Support internal and external audit requests

    • Perform ad hoc payment and research tasks as needed

    • Participate in special projects and initiatives within the Accounting department

    • Collaborate with AP, Finance, Accounting, and Treasury teams to improve processes

    • Ensure policies, procedures, and documentation are current and accurate

    • Help standardize workflows for efficiency in a growing environment

    Required Qualifications

    • High school diploma

    • 3+ years accounts payable experience

    • 1+ years payment processing experience, including bank wire transfers and foreign currency transactions

    • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness

    • Strong organizational and time management skills

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and meet deadlines

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and general working knowledge of Internet for business use

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Associate degree in accounting or related field

    • Oracle software experience is a plus

    • CashPro experience is a plus

    Physical Demands

    • Must possess ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time

    • Must possess ability to perform repetitive motion
