Senior Angular Software Engineer - 3574696

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Senior Angular Developer position! This is a 12+ month contract opportunity and can be hybrid in Buffalo, NY or remote. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C.

Position Overview:

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on modernizing and transforming critical applications. You’ll play a key role in upgrading legacy Angular applications to current versions, improving performance, scalability, and user experience across the platform.

In addition to front-end modernization, you’ll help drive the migration of applications from on-premises environments to Azure cloud, contributing to a broader cloud transformation initiative. This includes building and integrating RESTful APIs and working with Azure API Management (APIM) to enable secure, scalable, and well-governed services.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys cleaning up legacy code, implementing modern Angular best practices, and working across the full stack of front-end, API, and cloud technologies. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions in a complex, regulated environment while helping shape the future-state architecture.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Design, analyze, develop, and support applications ranging from basic to complex enhancements
• Support in the Angular version upgrade to Angular 20 while also migrating applications to Azure cloud
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and services
• Design, implement, and manage APIs using Azure API Management (APIM), ensuring secure and scalable integrations
• Lead and coordinate development tasks across small to large-scale initiatives
• Develop and execute test plans, including debugging and validation
• Analyze system integrations and dependencies across platforms and applications
• Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and specifications
• Ensure stability, performance, and efficiency of supported applications

What You'll Need to Have:

• Expert-level experience with Ang?ular (primary requirement)
• Strong experience with REST API development and integration
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure API Management (APIM) preferred
• Experience supporting production systems in a highly regulated environment
• Experience with Java or .NET (experience with both is a strong plus)
• Minimum of 8+ years of application development experience
• Strong understanding of modern web architecture and front-end best practices
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills 

Pay Range: $70 - $75/hr
