Senior Analyst – Financial Operations

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst – Financial Operations to support payment acceptance and day-to-day financial operations. This role is responsible for ensuring card and payment processing activities are executed accurately and in accordance with established operational standards, controls, and regulatory requirements.

The Senior Analyst will perform detailed research and analysis to identify, investigate, and resolve payment and processing issues. The position will also contribute to high-priority projects and initiatives focused on improving payment systems, operational controls, processes, and overall efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily financial operations related to payment acceptance and card processing.

• Research, analyze, and resolve payment processing issues and operational discrepancies.

• Monitor payment activities to ensure compliance with established standards, controls, and regulatory requirements.

• Perform detailed financial and operational analysis to identify trends, exceptions, and potential risks.

• Support troubleshooting and resolution of transaction and payment-related issues.

• Partner with business, finance, operations, and technology teams to address operational challenges.

• Provide analytical insights to support business decisions and high-priority initiatives.

• Execute project-related tasks associated with payment systems and financial operations.

• Assist with enhancements to payment platforms, operational processes, and internal controls.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and increased operational efficiency.

• Maintain accurate documentation related to financial operations, payment processes, and issue resolution.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Financial Operations, Payments, or Payment Processing.

• Hands-on knowledge of card payments and payment acceptance processes.

• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience investigating and resolving complex payment or transaction-processing issues.

• Understanding of financial operational controls and regulatory/compliance requirements.

• Ability to analyze transaction and operational data and identify discrepancies or trends.

• Experience supporting projects or initiatives involving payment systems and financial processes.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.

• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within banking, financial services, fintech, payments, or card-processing environments.

• Knowledge of the payment lifecycle, transaction processing, reconciliation, settlement, or payment operations.

• Experience improving financial operations processes and controls.

• Experience working with cross-functional technology and business teams.
