    Senior Accountant

    Reporting to the Accounting Consulting & Transformation Manager, the Accounting Analyst will take on an assignment within the TFS Accounting & Tax organization to gain broad exposure and knowledge in a key functional area. The assignment will be primarily based on TFS business needs, which may allow for an opportunity for multiple assignments. The first assignment will be with the SOX Program Management Office (SOX PMO). The Sr. Analyst will be responsible for execution of the annual SOX audit, planning and SOX strategy, deficiency identification and remediation, and special projects. Additional responsibilities will include performing scoping, assisting with control design/implementation, coordinating walkthroughs and testing requests, leading the quarterly sub-certification process, and communicating status to various levels of the organization. Additional/Future Project Responsibilities Assisting and leading special projects with financial reporting impact Participating in month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities such as preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and rollforwards to ensure the accuracy of reported information. Participating in quarterly and annual iFEM, SEC, governmental or statutory reporting processes including but not limited to developing and/or updating financial reporting and related disclosures for use in the SEC or parent reporting processes.

    Skill set:

    • Business degree in Accounting/Finance
    • CPA (or CA)
    • 4+ years work experience, preferably 2 to 3 years with a public accounting firm (or other professional service firm)
    • A strong working knowledge of Excel and/or Access/VBA (or other equivalent database software), Power Point, and Word
    • Specific experience in the areas of Accounting Policy, Financial Reporting, and/or Process Improvement a plus
    • Adaptability - willingness to learn new products and processes and work on multiple types of project concurrently
    • Experience with PeopleSoft a plus
    • Strong in technical accounting research a plus
