What you will be doing:
  • Support cost estimation for new products and programs.
  • Support new product launches.
  • Lead standardization and innovation initiatives within the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team.
  • Interface with the industrial engineering team to determine equipment requirements.
  • Write technical purchasing specifications for custom assembly equipment.
  • Manage equipment projects from planning through installation.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of standards for key equipment.
  • Travel to support plants (25% average, 50% peak).
  • Work in a fast-paced, project-based environment with high impact and visibility.
  • Work hands-on with processes and equipment.
  • Interact with other departments on cross-functional teams.
What you'll need to be successful:
Essential:
  • More than 5 years of experience in Industrial Engineering.
  • Project management experience.
  • Technical writing experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD LT / 2D.
  • Experience with assembly equipment (build pallets, conveyors, end-of-line testers, etc.).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must demonstrate high attention to detail.
  • Must have a high sense of urgency.
  • Travel required: 25% average, up to 50% at peak.
Preferred:
  • Experience in JIT seating or automotive.
  • Experience with industrial control systems such as PLC.
  • Ability to define assembly process.
  • Engineering / process change control experience.
  • MOST trained.
  • Line balancing experience.
  • Experience writing standard work instructions.
  • APQP experience.
  • PFMEA experience.
