Job Summary

Senior Acute Pharmacy Technician

Contract

In-Office | Gilbert, AZ, United States


AZ Pharm Tech License (CPhT/ExCPT); Every other weekend and rotating holidays. 40hrs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide acute pharmacy support, compounding and dispensing under supervision.

  • Verify medication orders for accuracy and safety in fast-paced environments.

  • Adhere to all safety, quality, and regulatory standards in daily tasks.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate patient medication records and documentation.

  • Collaborate with pharmacists to optimize therapeutic outcomes for patients.

  • Support inventory management, including stock levels and regulatory compliance.

  • Demonstrate a growth mindset; pursue professional development and skill enhancement.

  • Maintain high visibility of work activities and deliver results within deadlines.

  • Track and report performance metrics and pipeline indicators for territory activity.

  • Identify improvement opportunities and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support cross-functional teams to ensure seamless patient care and service delivery.

  • Assist in training junior staff or interns as needed to scale capability.


Experience/Qualifications

  • Licensed pharmacy technician with relevant state/jurisdiction registration.

  • Experience with acute care pharmacy operations and sterile compounding.

  • Ability to verify orders for accuracy and safety in fast-paced settings.

  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate patient medication records and documentation.

  • Collaborate with pharmacists to optimize therapeutic outcomes.

  • Inventory management skills with regulatory compliance awareness.

  • Strong adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards; GMP/USP knowledge preferred.

  • Data literacy for tracking performance metrics and pipeline indicators.

  • Willingness to train junior staff and interns; mentorship mindset.
