Job Title: Senior Accounting Officer (Specialist) Salary Range: $6,031.00 - $7,547.00 per Month
New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.

This position is eligible to telework up to three (3) days a week, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. This is subject to change based on operational need and/or future return to office orders. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Under general direction of an Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor) in the Strike Team, the Senior Accounting Officer (Specialist) independently performs complex professional accounting functions. The position performs monthly reconciliations between the Financial Information System for California (Fl$Cal) records and State Controllers (SCOs) records for General Fund, special funds, and/or bond funds, prepares financial statements, fund balance reports, and annual reports.
The Senior Accounting Officer (Specialist) performs tasks in accordance with Office of Fiscal Services guidelines, Governors Budget, Department of Finance rules and regulations, SCO policies, California Department of Human Resources policies, State Administrative Manual, and state and federal laws.
