Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Manager to oversee core accounting operations while collaborating closely with finance and operational teams across multiple business units, including retail operations.
This role will manage the full accounting cycle, ensure accurate financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and support financial planning and analysis initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong accounting and finance expertise who can work independently, implement structure, and provide strategic financial insight in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Core Accounting & Financial Close
  • Lead and manage the monthly close process across multiple entities
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Oversee general ledger activity, journal entries, account reconciliations, and close schedules
  • Maintain and standardize accounting policies and procedures across business units
  • Review and approve accounting transactions while ensuring proper documentation
  • Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and consolidations

Audit, Compliance & Internal Controls
  • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation while assisting with audit inquiries
  • Develop and enhance internal controls and compliance processes
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
  • Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks

Cost Accounting & Inventory Management
  • Lead cost accounting activities including standard costing, variance analysis, and margin analysis
  • Partner with operations teams to monitor inventory valuation, turnover, and obsolescence
  • Ensure accurate inventory accounting and reconciliation across systems
  • Support manufacturing and supply chain teams with financial analysis and cost insights
  • Drive process improvements related to inventory controls and costing methodologies

Financial Planning & Analysis Support
  • Collaborate with FP&A teams on budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
  • Analyze financial performance and provide variance analysis against budget and prior periods
  • Assist with KPI development and performance reporting dashboards
  • Support monthly reporting packages and leadership presentations

Retail Finance & Operational Support
  • Provide financial reporting and analysis support for retail operations
  • Monitor sales, margins, and inventory performance metrics
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency
  • Partner cross-functionally with sales, operations, and marketing teams

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including multi-entity environments
  • Strong knowledge of financial close processes, GAAP reporting, and audit support
  • Experience with cost accounting, inventory management, and operational finance
  • Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis preferred
  • Retail and manufacturing industry experience preferred
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to lead initiatives and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
