What You Will Do:
This position is responsible for:
Monthly close process including journal entries and variance analysis for warranty in Canada and Non-NAFTA
Balance Sheet and Cash Forecast for US and Canada
Maintaining accurate subledger liability balances
Preparing account reconciliations
Maintaining SOX compliance
Maintaining and supporting Warranty Model Payment System (WMPS)
Completing special projects as required and driving continuous improvement within the organization
What You Will Learn:
Monthly accounting close and forecasting
Understanding and application of SOX controls
Develop relationships various groups including Chrysler Canada finance/accounting, Internal/External Auditors, and IT
Role Will Prepare You For:
Any forecasting or accounting close position
Special projects activities will provide a basis for most financial analyst positions
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, or related degree
Minimum 8 years of finance or accounting related experience, or 7 years with MBA
Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
Ability to work in a cross functional team through multiple tasks/assignments with relatively short deadlines
Working knowledge of accounting principles
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA or CMA
MBA or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
Previous experience with forecasting and interaction with the monthly close process
