Job Details

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This role will be responsible for performing senior-level accounting duties across tax, audit, and bookkeeping engagements while working directly with clients and firm leadership. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, client-focused, and capable of managing multiple engagements and deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Tax Services

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns
• Conduct tax research and assist with tax planning strategies
• Communicate with clients regarding tax matters and information requests
• Assist with IRS and state tax notice responses

Audit & Assurance

• Perform audit, review, and compilation procedures
• Prepare audit workpapers and financial statements
• Assist with risk assessments and internal control evaluations
• Work directly with clients during fieldwork and engagement completion

Bookkeeping & Accounting

• Maintain and review client general ledgers
• Prepare monthly and year-end financial statements
• Perform reconciliations and adjusting journal entries
• Assist clients with QuickBooks and accounting system support

General Responsibilities

• Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines
• Supervise and mentor junior staff as needed
• Maintain strong client relationships through professional communication
• Ensure compliance with firm standards and professional regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• CPA license preferred or actively pursuing CPA
• Minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience
• Experience in tax preparation, audit engagements, and bookkeeping/accounting services
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with tax and audit software preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
