B&G Foods is seeking a Senior Accountant, Revenue Accounting to support the accuracy and timeliness of accounting activities related to revenue, billing, trade and commissions. This role is primarily execution-focused and supports monthly close, reconciliations, and compliance with US GAAP, working closely with Sales Finance, Accounts Receivable, and the Corporate Accounting team. The position reports to the Corporate Controller (or designee).

Responsibilities:

  • Perform revenue accounting activities related to the revenue cycle, including billings, trade, commissions, and related accruals
  • Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reporting, including sales, trade activity, and related analytics; ensure reports are accurate, timely, and aligned with financial close and management reporting requirements
  • Prepare and analyze monthly revenue, trade, coupon, slotting, and commission activity to ensure accurate recording
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and supporting account reconciliations
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external reporting schedules on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Prepare account reconciliations and account activity analyses, investigating and resolving variances
  • Apply established revenue recognition policies and procedures in accordance with US GAAP; escalate complex accounting matters as needed
  • Support the annual financial statement audit and internal audit requests
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and system enhancements, as assigned
  • Provide support for ad hoc analyses and projects, as requested

Experience, Skills, Education:

  • 46 years of hands-on accounting experience, including general ledger, revenue accounting, trade deductions, and month-end close activities
  • Working knowledge of revenue recognition principles under US GAAP
  • Experience in a CPG or similar industry preferred, but not required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to follow established accounting policies and procedures
  • JDE system experience preferred
  • Experience with financial reporting tools (e.g., EPM, Hubble) preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed

Compensation:

Base Pay Range:

$81,772.00 - $136,287.00

Final base pay will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to; role responsibilities, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and/or internal pay equity. Please keep in mind that we consider internal pay equity and hiring at the maximum of the salary range uncommon.
