Senior Accountant – Real Estate

A leading real estate investment and development firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance and accounting team. This role is critical in supporting the company’s diverse portfolio, which includes commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, and hospitality properties. The Senior Accountant will report to the Controller team and play a key role in financial reporting, audits, budgeting, and cash management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly close process, including reconciliations, accruals, and reporting packages.
• Prepare and review property-level financials, management fee calculations, and variance analysis.
• Support external reporting for investors and lenders (monthly, quarterly, annual).
• Assist with audits, preparing PBC items and financial statements.
• Participate in the annual budgeting process, reviewing and analyzing budgets for accuracy.
• Oversee cash management, including transfers, capital calls, and projections.
• Support accounts payable and work with internal teams and vendors to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives, including automation and Yardi system enhancements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4–6 years of accounting experience, ideally within real estate or property management.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with Yardi (or similar system).
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work across departments.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $110K-$120K base
• This compensation range is a good faith estimate of the expected wage range you can expect to be paid upon hire
