We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team as a Senior Accountant. This role is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to make their mark in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment within the Accounting and Finance industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:

1. Overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, and trust account statement reconciliations.
2. Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
3. Managing and overseeing the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
4. Collaborating with the other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
5. Monitoring and analyzing department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
6. Advising staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
7. Responding to inquiries from the director of finance, firm-wide manager, and other finance and company-wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests, and the like.
8. Working with the director of finance to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
9. Supervising the general ledger group to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Senior Accountant position will have the following qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting in the hospitality industry.
3. Solid experience in coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for fixed assets.
4. Adept at planning, organizing, and managing multiple priorities.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
