Energy Equipment Manufacturing & Field Services Oklahoma City, OK — Full-Time, On-SiteAbout the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Cost Accountant to serve as a key contributor to our accounting team's month-end close process, financial reporting, and standard cost accounting functions. This role will play a central part in maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, owning cost accounting for manufactured equipment, and strengthening the process and controls environment across the organization. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Oklahoma City. Candidates must currently reside in the Oklahoma City area or be willing to relocate.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and maintain standard cost accounting for manufactured products, including standard cost setting/updates, cost roll‑ups, and variance analysis (material, labor, and overhead)Reconcile standard costs to actual costs and partner with operations and manufacturing teams to investigate and resolve variancesOwn inventory valuation and work-in‑process accounting in a manufacturing environmentMaintain accurate general ledger accounting for GAAP and internal reporting purposes, including preparation and input of journal entriesLead and participate in month-end close and reporting activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial resultsPerform detailed financial statement and account analysis, including balance sheet reconciliationsProvide management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts, preparing journal entries, and completing account reconciliationsAssist with PBC requests and related footnote preparation for audit supportSupport the annual budgeting/forecasting process and budget‑to‑actual variance reportingAssist with annual financial, tax, vendor, and other auditsResearch technical accounting issues for conformity to GAAP and advise on accounting policy changes, adoption methodologies, practical expedients, and financial statement impactDrive continuous process and procedural improvements, including internal controls, within the accounting departmentWhat You'll NeedBS/BA/MS degree in Accounting or Finance requiredCPA or CPA candidate preferredMinimum of 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong standard cost accounting backgroundDemonstrated hands‑on experience with standard cost accounting, including cost roll‑ups, variance analysis, and inventory valuation, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environmentPublic accounting (senior audit associate or higher) experience preferredManufacturing, energy, industrial equipment, or field services industry experience preferredMust currently live in the Oklahoma City area or be willing to relocate; this is an in‑office role, not remote or hybridStrong understanding of standard costing methodologies and manufacturing/operational cost flowsStrong technical GAAP research and application skillsProven ability to gather and synthesize financial data with sound business analysis and advanced MS Excel skillsAbility to interpret and clearly explain financial and accounting concepts to non-accounting stakeholdersExperience with ERP systems preferredStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team#J-18808-Ljbffr
