We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the engineering industry. This is a permanent, full-time position where you will play a critical role in our financial management, including overseeing inventory accounting, month-end close, cost improvement, and FP&A. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional who is passionate about accounting, finance, and business optimization.

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:

1. Overseeing and managing the entire financial reporting process, including the month-end close.
2. Handling inventory accounting, ensuring accurate valuation, and timely reporting.
3. Developing and implementing cost improvement strategies to enhance the company's profitability.
4. Conducting FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
5. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements and accounting standards.
6. Assisting with internal and external audits, providing necessary information and answering queries.
7. Collaborating with other finance team members to streamline accounting procedures and refine reporting systems.
8. Providing financial advice and support to colleagues and management to aid strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree or CPA certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the engineering industry.
3. Prior experience in public accounting is highly desirable.
4. Strong knowledge of financial and accounting procedures, including GAAP.
5. Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including forecasting and budgeting.
6. Expertise in inventory accounting and cost improvement strategies.
7. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
8. Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a high level of accuracy.
9. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
