Job Details

Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to oversee key accounting functions including accounts receivable, revenue recognition, month-end close, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing environment, enjoys working in a fast-paced setting, and is comfortable wearing multiple hats within a smaller organization.

Key Responsibilities
Own the full accounts receivable process, including billing, cash application, collections support, and customer account reconciliations.
Manage revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP and company policies, ensuring accurate and timely recording of sales transactions.
Lead the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Prepare and maintain general ledger account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
Assist with monthly financial statement preparation and internal management reporting.
Partner with operations and sales teams to ensure accurate invoicing, revenue reporting, and inventory-related accounting.
Support inventory and cost accounting activities, including inventory reconciliations and manufacturing-related transactions.
Assist with annual audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and increase efficiency.
Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
Experience with accounts receivable, revenue recognition, and month-end close.
Strong understanding of GAAP.
Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, small-company environment where flexibility and initiative are valued.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with inventory or cost accounting.
CPA or CPA-track is a plus.
Experience improving accounting processes or implementing system enhancements.
