Job Details

We are looking for a sharp, self-directed Senior Accountant to join a high-performing finance team at the US arm of a global real estate institution. This is a hybrid accounting and FP&A role — you will own the books, support strategic financial planning, and interface directly with third-party property managers, external auditors, and senior leadership.

If you come from Big 4 audit with a real estate focus and want to move into a role with genuine ownership, long-term stability, and a sophisticated portfolio to work on, this is worth a serious look.


What you'll do
1. Own full-cycle accounting: journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and period-end close
2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with supporting variance analyses
3. Drive quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting in partnership with senior leadership
4. Review and analyze financial reporting from third-party property managers; resolve discrepancies
5. Advise and direct external property managers on accounting standards and best practices
6. Support onboarding of newly acquired assets into accounting systems
7. Perform lease analyses, net rent calculations, and property-level financial evaluations
8. Support joint venture and construction audits alongside external auditors
9. Maintain J-SOX internal control compliance and documentation
10. Prepare documentation for corporate income and property tax filings, including TC-201
11. Optimize and administer the Yardi accounting platform
12. Stay current on US GAAP developments relevant to commercial real estate

What you bring
  • BA/BS in Accounting — required
  • Active CPA license or in process
  • 4+ years of accounting experience with meaningful real estate exposure
  • Public accounting firm audit background strongly preferred
  • Experience with Yardi or a comparable platform (MRI, Angus) a plus
