The Senior Accountant will be responsible for supporting accurate financial reporting through hands-on accounting operations, reconciliations, and month-end close activities. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.Location: Houston, TX 77024Responsibilities Lead and manage all general ledger activities, journal entries, and month/year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.Review and approve reconciliations, financial statements, and supporting schedules.Oversee inventory and fixed asset accounting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation.Prepare and file sales and property tax reports; serve as liaison for internal and external audits.Support and optimize ERP systems (Dynamics 365, NetSuite) to maintain data integrity and improve reporting capabilities.Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to increase efficiency and accuracy.Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.Develop and mentor accounting team members through training, feedback, and professional development.Skills and Competencies Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting.Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).Experience with ERP systems such as Dynamics 365 or NetSuite.Excellent organizational and documentation skills.Ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.#J-18808-Ljbffr
