OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Accountant to support general ledger accounting, internal financial reporting, and control processes. This role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, supporting close activities, and partnering with finance leadership to identify and implement process improvements. The position offers exposure across multiple areas of accounting, with opportunities to collaborate cross‑functionally and contribute to ongoing enhancements within the finance function.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedulesMaintain accurate general ledger activity and ensure timely account reconciliationsAssist with preparation and distribution of internal financial reportsPartner with internal teams to ensure accurate recording of intercompany transactionsSupport accounts receivable and accounts payable processes as neededInvestigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and issuesServe as a finance partner on cross‑functional projects and process initiativesEvaluate current processes and recommend improvements to strengthen controls and efficiencyAssist with audit support, including preparation of schedules and documentation for internal and external auditsComplete ad hoc reporting and analysis as neededQualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance5+ years of general ledger or public accounting experiencePreferred:Experience with large ERP systemsStrong data and reporting skills (Excel and related tools)Compensation & BenefitsDetermining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
