We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to play a critical role in our company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles and financial reporting, and be comfortable working with complex financial data. This role requires a high degree of precision, strong analytical skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

1. Overseeing daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations.
2. Participating in regular tax audits and payroll.
3. Preparing budgeting reports and forecasting revenue.
4. Enhancing the accuracy of the company's reported financial results and ensuring that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
5. Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
6. Managing and monitoring all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
7. Maintaining internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.
8. Regularly producing and presenting clear, concise, and timely ad hoc reports, as needed.
9. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
10. Processing AP checks and ACH payments.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus.
2. Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices.
4. Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations.
5. Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting, etc.)
6. Understanding of data analysis and forecasting.
7. Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with relevant accounting software (ERP).
8. Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
9. Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
10. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
12. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines.
