Excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant for growing Georgia based manufacturer. The position is responsible for supporting the Finance team by performing Accounting related tasks utilizing generally accepted accounting principles. Compensation is up to $90k.
Responsibilities include:
  • Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries
  • Prepare indirect tax filings for property, sales tax and other related returns
  • Analyze financial data, identify trends, questions outliers and provide insights to support business decisions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results to management
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and providing insights
  • Ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end close processes
  • Support audits, lender requests and tax filings by providing necessary documentation and explanations
  • Identify process improvements and implement best practices in accounting procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
  • Understanding of accounting principles and regulations
  • Proficient in ERP systems and spreadsheets
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, detail-oriented and organizational skills.
