Senior Accountant/Assistant Controller-Sage Intacct

Cordia Resources is seeking a Senior Accountant / Assistant Controller for a temp-to-hire opportunity supporting a growing consulting firm. This role will play a key part in month-end close, financial reporting, and operational accounting, with heavy use of Sage Intacct. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting skills, hands-on system experience, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced professional services environment.
Recent, hands-on Sage Intacct experience is required.
Key Responsibilities

• Support and execute the month-end and year-end close process
• Perform and review account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and reporting requirements
• Review accounts payable transactions for accuracy and proper coding
• Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions
• Prepare variance analysis and provide insights to leadership
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Support audits and respond to auditor requests
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and leadership teams
• Utilize and optimize financial systems including Sage Intacct, Concur, and Salesforce

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong, recent experience with Sage Intacct (required)
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial controls
• Hands-on experience with month-end close and reconciliations
• Strong Excel skills and financial analysis capabilities
• Experience with Concur and Salesforce a plus
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
