This position reports directly to the Controller and offers a base compensation plus equity.

**Department**
The Finance Department provides essential accounting services and financial support to all functional areas within the company. Responsibilities include recording revenue, expenses, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and other financial elements. The department also analyzes financial metrics to assess the company's financial position and recommend cost-effective changes.
**Job Summary**
The Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager works closely with the Controller to manage the company’s transactions. This role involves recording monthly entries related to revenue, costs of revenue, leases, sales taxes, fixed assets, and cash. The Senior Accountant will also have the opportunity to drive business process improvements and conduct accounting research to enhance their GAAP knowledge.
**Responsibilities**
- Maintain the fixed asset accounting process and reconciliations.
- Manage accounting for leases.
- Oversee the company’s sales tax process and related reporting.
- Maintain the company’s treasury function, including monthly bank reconciliations.
- Account for revenue and cost of revenue.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly as part of the monthly close process.
- Prepare monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses as needed.
- Review terms of new sales contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition and compliance with GAAP and other reporting requirements.
- Prepare and compile documentation for external auditors.
- Participate in special accounting and finance projects, including researching accounting guidance.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 2-3+ years of accounting experience.
- Public accounting experience is a plus.
- CPA license is a plus.
- Solid understanding of US GAAP.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and organize large datasets.
- Excellent problem-solving and research skills on complex accounting issues.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- A positive, can-do attitude.
- Willingness to work onsite as required.
