Role Overview

We are hiring Equipment Maintenance Technicians to support high-volume semiconductor manufacturing operations. This role involves performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on advanced semiconductor fabrication equipment across multiple process areas.

Technicians will be responsible for ensuring tool uptime, reliability, and performance while working in a cleanroom environment and collaborating with cross-functional engineering and production teams.

 

Core Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on semiconductor equipment

Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and vacuum systems

Diagnose equipment alarms, analyze operational data, and implement corrective actions

Execute consumable changes and sustain tool performance

Apply root cause analysis to resolve complex equipment issues

Follow all cleanroom and safety protocols, including handling hazardous chemicals

Maintain accurate documentation and support training activities when required

Work collaboratively with internal teams to meet production and reliability goals

 

Key Skills & Environment

Strong understanding of SPC, 5S, and FDC systems

Experience in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing (fab environment)

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Comfortable working 12-hour shifts in cleanroom conditions

Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in confined spaces

 

Equipment / Process Areas (Experience in ANY is acceptable)

TEL Furnaces (Alpha, WAVES, α-858)

SVG Furnaces (VTR, AVP series)

TEA Alpha Furnaces

Laser scribe and metrology tools

EPI experience is a plus

Cleans / Wet Bench Systems

Semitool, TEL/FSI, DNS, Akrion systems

Wet benches, wafer cleaning tools

Screen/Dainippon systems

Photolithography (Photo)

ASML Scanners (PAS5500)

Canon Steppers

TEL Tracks (ACT8, MARK7)

KLA Metrology (SEM, Overlay tools)

Machine Shop / Fabrication

Welders

What Makes a Strong Candidate

Experience on any of the above toolsets or similar OEM platforms (AMAT, Lam, TEL, ASML, KLA, etc.)
