About the Role:
Join our small family team at our new office here with Catalano Oral Surgery & Implantology as a Front Desk/Insurance Coordinator! This role is perfect for an outgoing and professional individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, ensuring our patients receive top-notch service from the moment they walk in. Dental, oral surgery, orthodontic, perio or medical admin experience required please!
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations efficiently.
- Schedule appointments and maintain the calendar for the oral surgery practice
- Verify patient insurance, create insurance profiles, maintain UCR fee schedules
- Submit electronic claims, post EOB's, send appeal letters and statements
- Process and post payments accurately
- Create custom treatment estimates and review with patients
- Handle patient inquiries and provide information about procedures and services offered.
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality while following HIPAA laws for patient privacy
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Assist in managing office supplies and inventory
- Promote a positive and loving atmosphere for all patients and visitors
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a dental/oral surgery or medical office required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Energetic & engaging phone presence
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft & Gmail
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
- Friendly demeanor with a passion for patient care
- Team player, willing to cross train or help others within the office if necessary
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of the insurance verification processes
- CPR/BLS certification
- HIPAA/OSHA training
- Bloodborne pathogen training
