Job Description
Allegiance Home Health is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Home Healthcare Scheduler to manage the intake process for new patients. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless transition of care for our clients.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in home health care, medical scheduling, patient intake, or healthcare administration
- Knowledge of home health services, Medicare, and insurance verification processes preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and healthcare scheduling software
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPPAA regulations
- Strong customer service skills and a professional telephone manner
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- knowledge of clinician scheduling, staffing coordination, and patient admissions processes
- Experience in a Medicare-certified home health agency
