Seed Analyst
Pennington Seed/Central Garden & Pet Company isa leader in the lawn care industry.We seek a highly motivated, conscientious, and trustworthy individual to join our team as a Seed Analyst in Greenfield, Missouri.
Shift Details:
- Monday – Friday,7:00 am – 3:30 pm
Location:
Key Responsibilities:
- Cross training for the ability to perform varied tasks associated with seed testing.
- Purity and noxious seed analysis.
- TZ testing.
- Germination evaluation.
- Fluorescence test for ryegrass.
- Vacuum germination planting.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, preferred.
- RST, Registered Seed Technologist preferred, but not required.
- Seed or Plant Science background preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work with magnification, tweezers, and various lab equipment pertaining to seed testing.
- Work flexible hours as needed.
- This position requires working closely with other lab personnel and the ability to maintain respect for co-workers.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
- Able to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
