This position requires full-time on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD.This position is future funded and not expected to begin before September 1, 2026.ClearanceAn ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Candidates may be required to obtain a Top Secret clearance after beginning this work. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.RequirementsAt least two years experience performing software or systems engineering activitiesKnowledge of avionics systemsResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain software requirementsReview and evaluate vendor software specificationsCoordinate with vendors on software and system integrationConduct analysis of software defectsCoordinate with cybersecurity subject matter expertsParticipate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (including SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.)Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) processParticipate in Agile and SAFe team processesPrepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs)Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs)Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposalsPreferred Skills and ExperienceExperience with DOD-STD-2167A/MIL-STD-498/IEEE 12207Experience with Systems Software, Systems-of-Systems engineering, MBSE, or systems safety & reliabilityExperience with military aircraft avionic systems and softwareExperience with Agile software development processesEducationBS in a technical discipline from an ABET accredited program.CompensationCompensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.The projected annual compensation range for this position is $70,000 - $122,000 (USD).
