Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Security Systems Technician with a minimum of
3 years of experience in the security industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining commercial and residential security systems, and related low-voltage systems. The candidate must be customer-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently. Must live in the Chicago Area
Responsibilities- Install, program, service, and troubleshoot residential and commercial security systems.
- Install and maintain intrusion alarm systems and related low-voltage equipment.
- Diagnose and repair equipment, wiring, and communication issues.
- Complete service reports, work orders, and installation documentation accurately.
- Ensure all installations comply with company standards
- Coordinate with customers, contractors, and project managers as needed.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicle in a professional manner.
Qualifications- Minimum of 3 years of experience installing and servicing security systems.
- Experience with both commercial and residential security systems.
- Knowledge on Alarm.com, DSC, Qolsys, Honeywell, Elk similar platforms is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Work on ladders and physical labor
Physical Requirements- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
- Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
- Ability to crawl, kneel, and work in confined spaces when necessary.
