Summary This position for The Defense Information Systems Agency is at Ford Island, Hawaii . Responsibilities Researches, evaluates, designs, develops, maintains, and manages the security systems, alarms, and measures for protection of the organization's SCI facilities and programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements governing same. Prepares detailed plans for installation, expansion, and modernization of existing SCI facilities, and systems to include intrusion detection, systems design, and access control. Directs and conducts continuous inspections, evaluations, and vulnerability tests. Staffs and implements corrective actions to deficient areas, implementing counter measures to mitigate vulnerabilities. Conducts SCI indoctrination briefing and debriefing, as well as new employee and annual training. Provides SCI support, as requested, to Special Access Programs (SAP) and SCI contractors. Develops budget estimates and coordinates the acquisition of security equipment/supplies. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Qualifying Experience: For the GG-12, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GG-11 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GG-11 if outside the Federal service. Qualifying Experience is defined as: Experience in comprehensive security management-encompassing physical, personnel, information, COMSEC, TEMPEST, and IT security with an SCI environment-guided by applicable regulations like ICD 704 and JAFAR, and utilizing the Risk Management Framework. In addition to meeting the qualifying experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position. Candidates must clearly demonstrate the possession of competencies necessary to successfully perform the work of the position at the appropriate level to be qualified for the position.
