Job Title: Security Operations Center (SOC) Supervisor

Location: Poughkeepsie, NY

Position Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $27.00 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Security Operations Center (SOC) Supervisor to lead a team of security professionals in a fast-paced operations center environment. This position is responsible for overseeing daily SOC operations, coordinating incident response activities, ensuring compliance with security procedures, and providing leadership and support to SOC personnel.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience managing security operations in a command center, control room, or operations center setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily Security Operations Center activities during assigned shifts
  • Lead and support SOC Operators while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for security incidents and emergencies
  • Monitor ongoing incidents and coordinate appropriate response efforts
  • Conduct shift briefings and ensure smooth shift transitions
  • Review incident reports and operational documentation for accuracy
  • Track performance metrics and maintain operational standards
  • Provide coaching, training, and support to team members
  • Communicate effectively with management, clients, and emergency response partners

Qualifications

Required:

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Security Guard License or ability to obtain one
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain calm and effective during emergencies and high-pressure situations

Preferred:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC), Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), dispatch center, or similar operations environment
  • Associate''s degree in a related field
  • Secondary language skills, such as Spanish
  • Experience leading incident response, emergency coordination, or crisis management activities
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Genetec, AMAG Symmetry, Everbridge, or similar security management platforms

Working Conditions

  • Onsite position in Poughkeepsie, NY
  • May include weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
  • Primarily desk-based with extended periods of monitoring security systems
  • Fast-paced environment requiring continuous situational awareness
