A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for aSecurity Operations Center Operator

Position type: Full-time, Contract
Duration:  8 months with possible extension
Location:  Kennett Square, Pennsylvania 19348

Role Overview
As a SOC Operator, you are the command center behind our security operations protecting people, assets, and critical infrastructure around the clock. Working within a 24/7 fixed-shift model, you will monitor advanced security systems, respond decisively to incidents, and serve as the first point of contact during emergency and non-emergency security events. Your vigilance and judgment will help ensure safety, compliance, and operational continuity across all secured sites.

What You’ll Do
Core Responsibilities
  • Actively monitor and respond to intrusion detection alarms across multiple sites
  • Coordinate and dispatch law enforcement and first responders during security events
  • Receive and manage incoming calls, prioritizing emergency and routine incidents
  • Oversee site access control activities, including logging personnel entry/exit and disarm events
  • Maintain accurate shift logs and security activity records

Incident Management & Reporting
  • Create clear, detailed incident reports documenting events and actions taken
  • Escalate issues and perform timely notifications to stakeholders
  • Conduct forensic analysis using video surveillance and access control systems
  • Support investigative efforts with accurate data and system insights

System Monitoring & Maintenance
  • Identify system malfunctions and initiate service requests for maintenance
  • Validate and track corrective actions to ensure issue resolution
  • Conduct routine system checks and video audits to maintain system integrity
  • Follow all SOC policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance standards

Key Accountabilities
  • Monitor and remediate intrusion alarms in real time
  • Respond to and prioritize incoming security communications
  • Maintain precise logs of system status and access events
  • Generate detailed incident documentation and reports
  • Track and validate system maintenance requests
  • Support forensic investigations and administrative operations

Technical Expertise
Hands-on experience with enterprise-level security and monitoring platforms, including:
  • CCure 9000E, Exacq Vision, Andover Continuum
  • Pelco Control Point, Compass, DMP, D3, JIRA
  • Passage Point, Constellation Alert
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and evolving CSOC technologies

Operational & Compliance Knowledge
  • Understanding of CSOC operational workflows and procedures
  • Familiarity with NERC CIP compliance standards
  • Knowledge of substation operations and critical infrastructure protection
  • Awareness of CISS policies and security frameworks

Education & Experience
  • Associate’s degree (AA) preferred, OR
  • High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years of experience in security systems or IT

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*:  $27.00 - $28.41 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
