As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Services in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor customer and employee activity for unusual behavior, policy violations, and/or potential loss prevention concerns, and report observations according to post orders.
- Support opening, closing, and high-traffic periods by observing key areas, assisting with crowd flow, and helping to address security-related issues in a professional manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
