Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail mall location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and assist guests with outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or tenants by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter spaces, to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor access points and observe activity across the location to help to identify unusual behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance or operational concerns for follow-up.
- Support a professional environment by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and reporting security-related concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
