Security Officer Screening

As a Security Officer Screening in Lake City, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a correctional location, you will help support daily operations by screening people and property, observing activity, and reporting security-related concerns. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, screen people and/or property as required by location procedures, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and assisting with requested follow-up actions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
